Culturally Sensitive Counseling Services in BC

Individual Counselling in British Columbia

In person or virtual: Louise specializes in Somatic Experiencing, a body-centered approach to healing that helps individuals move beyond survival states such as fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and fit-in. These instinctual responses are the body’s way of protecting itself from past traumas, but when left unresolved, they can create emotional, mental, and even physical distress. Louise gently guides individuals through the process of recognizing these states, learning how they manifest in the body, and ultimately transitioning towards greater emotional regulation and self-awareness.

Testimonial

Recently I’ve had the pleasure of sharing Circle space with Louise in a formal setting.  It was quite a significant experience as the subject matter touched on the Sixties Scoop and many other sensitive matters.  I knew that I was in trouble when the heat from my chest rose to my head and hands and my tear ducts betrayed the calm I was trying so desperately to present to the group.  Intuitively Louise was already on her feet, Kleenex in hand like an offering of hope, and a gently touch on my shoulder.  In that moment I felt a surge of healing and support.  It’s a kind of brilliance and care I’ve noticed too many times to count with Louise.  The Creator has gifted her with a spirit of goodness, courage, and medicine.  I find a quiet strength in her eyes and owe her much.  She will forever be in my prayers of gratitude and for Creator’s keeping.

Testimonial

I recently had the privilege of attending one of Louise’s workshops, and the experience was nothing short of transformative. The way she holds space—both gentle and powerful—made it easy to open up and feel truly heard. As she shared her teachings on intergenerational trauma and traditional healing, I felt layers of understanding and connection unfold within me. During a particularly emotional moment, her calming presence and compassionate words brought a sense of peace I hadn’t felt in years. Louise carries a wisdom that touches everyone around her, and her ability to blend cultural knowledge with genuine care is truly a gift. I am deeply grateful for her guidance and the healing she helped awaken in me.
